Dr. Karissa Harder

Dr. Harder earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona and her Bachelors in Biology from Chapman University in Orange, California. Dr. Harder’s interests include equine and small animal dentistry, surgery, and preventative medicine. She is a member of the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association and Inland Empire Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Harder grew up in a Navy family in San Diego, California. She spent many summers and holidays in Spokane as her parents are from Spokane. She has wanted to be a veterinarian since she could talk. She has backpacked Mount Whitney, the tallest mountain in the contiguous USA, two times. In addition to backpacking, she enjoys weight lifting, English riding, hiking, reading (book worm!), and country line and two-step dancing. Her family is rounded out by Kanga, 3 year old Aussie/Pitbull mix; Roo, 5 year old Siamese cat; Jolene/Kitty Jo, polydactyl kitten (23 toes!); and River, 20 year old Thoroughbred horse.
