Vaccinations

WE DO SEE COMMON DISEASES IN PETS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN VACCINATED. GET YOUR PET VACCINATED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Both young and old animals need protection from diseases that are often fatal. Thankfully, there are highly advanced vaccines that guard against these diseases. We utilize Pfizer (also called Zoetis) vaccines which are the highest quality pet vaccines available. We want our patients to get the best. Pets receive an examination to insure they are healthy when getting vaccinated. For a list of diseases we vaccinate against, read below.

Surgery

Canine Core Vaccines

Rabies.  A fatal disease that affects the nervous system. Transferable to humans. All dogs and cats in Washington State, regardless of their home environment, are required to be up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations. Given once every 3 years.


DHPP.  Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus. Given annually.


Leptospirosis.  A highly contagious dangerous bacterial infection. Transferable to humans. Given annually.


Bordetella.  A highly contagious disease of the upper respiratory tract, commonly called kennel cough. This disease is commonly encountered whenever dogs come in contact with each other—at the park, groomers, training class, boarding facility, vet, visiting friends, etc. Given annually.

 

 

Feline Core Vaccines

Rabies.  A fatal disease that affects the nervous system. Transferable to humans. All dogs and cats in Washington State, regardless of their home environment, are required to be up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations. Given once every 3 years.


FVRCP.  Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calici Virus, Panleukopenia, Chlamydia. Given annually.


FeLV .  Feline Leukemia Virus. A virus that can cause cancer, blood disorders, and immune deficiency that hinders cats' ability to fight infections. This disease is untreatable and fatal within months to a few years. Given annually.
