    Dr. Trina Dutton, DVMOwner, Veterinarian, Medical Director

Dr. Trina Dutton, Medical Director, graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Washington State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her Bachelor's degree, in Animal Science, was awarded from the WSU Honors Program. She is highly skilled in surgery, oncology, geriatrics, dentistry, cardiology, and much more. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Washington State Veterinary Medical Association, and Inland Empire Veterinary Medical Association.


Dr. Dutton decided to become a veterinarian at 10 years of age, when her favorite animal was a tree kangaroo. When she is not caring for dogs, cats, pocket pets (even hedgehogs!), and exotics in the community, she enjoys spending time outdoors, running marathons and trail runs, singing specials in church, yard work, and spending time with her Westhighland Terrier, Barry.

    Dr. Heather O'Bannan, DVMOwner/Veterinarian

Dr. Heather O'Bannan also gained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and Bachelors in Veterinary Science from the WSU School of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys working with animals of all sizes and has a diverse collection of patients — dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, pot-bellied pigs, cows, alpacas, llamas, guinea pigs, gerbils, parrots, and even a bearded dragon! Dr. O'Bannan is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Washington State Veterinary Medical Association, Inland Empire Veterinary Medical Association, and American Animal Hospital Association.


Dr. O'Bannan followed her older sister (Dr. Trina Dutton) into the field of veterinary medicine at a young age. She is a die-hard Cougar fan and adores working with people who love their pets. She is a long distance runner and enjoys running endurance trail runs. Dr. O'Bannan and her husband enjoy all activities that allow them to be outside and enjoying our beautiful community. Their family is rounded out by their three children, Judah, Everly, Truly; their Retriever/Labrador mix, Darby; and cats, Jerry and Cheerio.

    Dr. Holly Hruza, DVMAssociate Veterinarian

Dr. Holly Hruza earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University and Bachelors in Food Science/Nutrition with a double minor in Spanish and Biology from the University of Idaho. She enjoys working with farm and companion animals with a special love for cows. Dr. Hruza is a member of the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association and Inland Empire Veterinary Medical Association.


Dr. Hruza has a Schnoodle named Jhag. He likes to run, dig, and cuddle with his favorite people while they play with his big ears and tiny toes. She has grown up with several other pets and helped raise rabbits, chickens, pigs, labs, horses, and cows on her family farm. She has a third degree black belt in Taw Kwon Do and has played bass guitar and piano in a few bands including church, Cru, and folk/oldies group. She enjoys most everything outdoors: hiking, ATV rides, skiing/snowboarding, hunting, and white water rafting. She also enjoy's watching movies, reading books, and spending time with friends and family over a home cooked meal.

    Dr. Kelsey Stoner, DVMAssociate Veterinarian

Dr. Kelsey Stoner earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University and Bachelors in Animal Science from Montana State University. Following graduate school, Dr. Stoner completed a one year equine internship in Texas. She loves all animals and has a special love (and extra training) for equine. She is a member of the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association, Inland Empire Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Equine Practitioners, American Veterinary Medical Association, Montana Veterinary Medical Association. and Phi Zeta Honor Society.


Dr. Stoner enjoys horseback riding/showing, hiking, backpacking, fly fishing, and singing. She has a 14 year old Quarter Horse mare named Misty who she raised from a baby. Interesting things she has done include getting to assist with castration of a grizzly bear her first year of vet school and participating in numerous choirs including an acapella group in veterinary school. She hopes to join a singing group in the Spokane area soon. We are very excited to announce that Dr. Stoner and her fiance Travis have an upcoming wedding date of August 2020.

    JeannettePractice Manager

Jeannette is the Practice Manager. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations, with a minor in Psychology from Washington State University after previously working in the education and graphic design fields. She directs the business side of the practice, guaranteeing the hospital runs smoothly.


Jeannette and her husband, Dave, have six children: Dr. Dutton, Dr. O'Bannan, Elizabeth, Mayden, Nadiri, and Silas. She enjoys being with her family (which includes their Golden Retriever, Border Collie, three cats, three horses, one parakeet, and two finches), any activity involving nature, horseback riding, and puttering around the yard.

    AliesaVeterinary Assistant

Aliesa , Veterinary Assistant, has a bachelor's degree in Biology from Idaho State University. She and her husband Paul round out their family with Xander (goofy and loveable Bluetick Coonhound), Winston (sweet and gentle German Shorthair Pointer), and Hampton (aloof brown tabby). Aliesa enjoys doing anything and everything outdoors in God's beautiful creation. During the summer, she competes in triathlons, hikes with the pups and husband, camps, mountain bikes, and fly fishes. During the winter, she loves to cross country ski, downhill ski, and snowboard. When she is not outside, she enjoys reading and trying new recipes.


Interesting facts: During college, Aliesa worked at a small local zoo — that was more of a sanctuary — that took in injured and orphaned wildlife. This experience with wildlife rehabilitation was where she first fell in love with animal care.

    AllisonVeterinary Assistant

Allison, Veterinary Assistant is an experienced assistant who is pursuing her Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) degree. Her family is composed of Tank (old mutt who is her baby), Jake (naughty Alaskan Malamute), Axle (goofy little hound), Willy (rescue Pomeranian who is blind and deaf), Munchkin (cat), and four horses, Oakley, Pac-Man, Peyote, and Grey. She is hoping to add cattle to the mix.


Allison enjoys hiking, horseback riding, barrel racing, painting, playing with her pets, and archery hunting.


Interesting facts: Allison has lived in Cheney her entire life until moving to Reardan in 2018. She was Miss Cheney Rodeo 2016!

    AlyshiaVeterinary Assistant

Alyshia, Veterinary Assistant, has a Bachelor's degree in Biology and comes to Medical Lake Veterinary Hospital as an experienced veterinary assistant. Her family includes Bella (Black Lab), Klondike (Yellow Lab), and Lily (Black Lab). Klondike and Lily were littermates. Alyshia loves to travel, loves country and gospel music, coaching youth softball, playing softball, camping, hiking, and relaxing at the lake.


Interesting facts: Alyshia graduated from high school with an Associate of Arts degree. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at 20 years old! She is pursuing her Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) degree at this time.

    BreenaVeterinary Assistant

Breena , Veterinary Assistant, has a certificate in Veterinary Assisting from the New Tech Skills Center. She is pursuing her Licensed Veterinary Technician degree. Breena is a life long resident of Medical Lake and has many ties to the community. She has 2 dogs, Shelby (Jack Russel Terrier) and Sage (Pit Bull); 1 cat, Oscar (Siamese); and a bearded dragon, Jasmin. Outside of animals, Breena enjoys knitting, crocheting, and reading.


Interesting facts: She was Vice President of the Medical Lake FFA Chapter and was a mentor and participant in the Medical Lake FFA Veterinary Science Team that went to state competition.

    ChrisVeterinary Assistant

Chris, Veterinary Assistant, has a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences. Her husband, Ted, is stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base. Their family includes their yellow lab (Xoli), tabby cats (Noodles and Truffles), and paint horses (Cheyenne and Tres). Chris enjoys trail riding, ranch sorting, hiking, fishing, training dogs, playing saxophone, and riding quads/dirt bikes.


Interesting fact: Chris originally planned on being a Coast Guard rescue swimmer prior to pursuing ved-med.

    JenissaVeterinary Assistant

Jenissa , Veterinary Assistant, has a Bachelor's degree in Children's Studies and Sociology. She and her husband, Keefer, have two children, Sophia and Amari. Their family is rounded out by Diva, a Yorkie/Papillon and Zoey Rose, a Blacksmoke Tuxedo. Jenissa enjoys camping, boating, swimming, and family time.


Interesting facts: Jenissa moved to Medical Lake when she was three and grew up in our wonderful town. After marrying at the age of 22, she moved with her military husband to several different locations including Portugal. They moved back to Medical Lake after the birth of their daughter.

    KayceeKennel Assistant

Kaycee, Kennel Assistant, is a Medical Lake High School student. She is participating in the veterinary assisting program at the NewTech Skills Center. She has two dogs, Cayenne (Yorkshire Terrier) and Juniper (Golden Doodle), and a cat named Saffron. Her dad is in the Air Force. They moved to Medical Lake in 2015. Kaycee enjoys drawing, watching TV/movies, and participating in volleyball at Medical Lake High School.

    KelseyVeterinary Assistant

Kelsey, Veterinary Assistant, has two Associate's degrees: one in Animal Science/Pre-Vet and one in Agriculture Science. She has three horses: Buddy, Tyc, and Ranger and a Border Collie named Angel. She has been involved in Big Brothers/Big Sisters. She enjoys hiking, horseback riding, horse/mule packing, and camping.


Interesting facts: Kelsey grew up on a 2500 acre ranch right outside of Livingston, Montana. The property boarded four miles along the Yellowstone River. She wrangled, outfitted, and was a stagecoach driver in Yellowstone National Park for six seasons.

    KristinCustomer Service

Kristin, Receptionist, has ten years of management experience in the retail industry. She has two children, Alex and Maddyson and a Miniature Australian Shepherd named Roos. She loves being outdoors and enjoys spending time with family.

    MaydenCustomer Service

Mayden, Receptionist, is going to school full-time online as well as working at the hospital. She has a Great Pyranese/Anatolian Shepherd mix named Millie who prefers to be stretched out on the couch. She enjoys all outdoor activities including hiking, fishing, biking, swimming, and much more.


Interesting facts: Mayden can jump into the coldest lakes and rivers without even cringing. She can also produce an awesome British accent.

    NadiriKennel Assistant

Nadiri, Kennel Assistant, is a Medical Lake High School student. She loves animals, even snakes and insects! She has a parakeet named Sammy, two kitties named Luka and Lacey, and a Thoroughbred horse named Jasper. When not racing and jumping her horse, Nadiri enjoys reading, trail horseback riding, and baking.


Interesting fact: Nadiri is on the Medical Lake High School Equine Team, competing with her horses, Jasper and Amore. She went to state competition in the Huntseat Jumping competition. We are so proud of her!

    NicoleAdministrative Assistant

Nicole is Administrative Assistant to the Practice Manager and part-time Receptionist. Nicole has many years of customer service experience.


Her family includes her son Easton, two dogs: Spur (Border Collie/Heeler), Little T (Mini Aussie), one cat, Tony (AKA "Kiki" as Easton calls him), and an assortment of chickens.


Nicole enjoys kayaking, 90's country music, horseback riding, and exploring new places.

Rachael, Veterinary Assistant, has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. Rachael and her husband, Steven, have two dogs: Zoey (Yorkie) and Zeus (Pitbull). She is pursuing her Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) degree. She enjoys baking, fitness, hiking, and hanging out with her husband and two fur babies!


Interesting facts: Rachael is from Michigan. Her husband is stationed at Fairchild AFB.

    StaciaCustomer Service

Stacia, Receptionist, has extensive experience in the banking industry. She and her husband, Doug, round out their family with Ryker (Pitbull mix) and Hank (Malamute). She loves photography and spending time with family and friends.
