Dr. Trina Dutton, DVMOwner, Veterinarian, Medical Director
Dr. Trina Dutton, Medical Director, graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Washington State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her Bachelor's degree, in Animal Science, was awarded from the WSU Honors Program. She is highly skilled in surgery, oncology, geriatrics, dentistry, cardiology, and much more. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Washington State Veterinary Medical Association, and Inland Empire Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Dutton decided to become a veterinarian at 10 years of age, when her favorite animal was a tree kangaroo. When she is not caring for dogs, cats, pocket pets (even hedgehogs!), and exotics in the community, she enjoys spending time outdoors, running marathons and trail runs, singing specials in church, yard work, and spending time with her Westhighland Terrier, Barry.
Dr. Heather O'Bannan, DVMOwner/Veterinarian
Dr. Heather O'Bannan also gained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and Bachelors in Veterinary Science from the WSU School of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys working with animals of all sizes and has a diverse collection of patients — dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, pot-bellied pigs, cows, alpacas, llamas, guinea pigs, gerbils, parrots, and even a bearded dragon! Dr. O'Bannan is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Washington State Veterinary Medical Association, Inland Empire Veterinary Medical Association, and American Animal Hospital Association.
Dr. O'Bannan followed her older sister (Dr. Trina Dutton) into the field of veterinary medicine at a young age. She is a die-hard Cougar fan and adores working with people who love their pets. She is a long distance runner and enjoys running endurance trail runs. Dr. O'Bannan and her husband enjoy all activities that allow them to be outside and enjoying our beautiful community. Their family is rounded out by their three children, Judah, Everly, Truly; their Retriever/Labrador mix, Darby; and cats, Jerry and Cheerio.
Dr. Holly Hruza, DVMAssociate Veterinarian
Dr. Holly Hruza earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University and Bachelors in Food Science/Nutrition with a double minor in Spanish and Biology from the University of Idaho. She enjoys working with farm and companion animals with a special love for cows. Dr. Hruza is a member of the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association and Inland Empire Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Hruza has a Schnoodle named Jhag. He likes to run, dig, and cuddle with his favorite people while they play with his big ears and tiny toes. She has grown up with several other pets and helped raise rabbits, chickens, pigs, labs, horses, and cows on her family farm. She has a third degree black belt in Taw Kwon Do and has played bass guitar and piano in a few bands including church, Cru, and folk/oldies group. She enjoys most everything outdoors: hiking, ATV rides, skiing/snowboarding, hunting, and white water rafting. She also enjoy's watching movies, reading books, and spending time with friends and family over a home cooked meal.
Dr. Danielle Wehr, DVMAssociate Veterinarian
Dr. Danielle Wehr earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University and Bachelors in Animal Science from Cal Poly State University. Dr. Wehr and her husband, Phil, have three children: Gracie, Olivia, and Lucas. Their family is rounded out with their two pugs, Daphne Moon and Dudley Moore. She is a member of the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association, Inland Empire Veterinary Medical Association, and American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Wehr plays the piano for St Joseph's Catholic Church in Otis Orchard. She loves monitoring geyser activity in Yellowstone. She is originally from Downey, California and left to attend vet school in Pullman, Washington. Her plan was to return upon graduation; however, the Pacific Northwest was difficult to leave! She spent 15 years in Boise, Idaho prior to moving to Spokane in 2012.
Dr. Mariah Young, DVMAssociate Veterinarian
Dr. Mariah Young earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University. She got her Bachelors in Animal Science at Montana State University with a degree from the Honors College and a double minor in Hispanic Studies and Latin America and Latino Studies.
Dr. Young is a Montana girl with a lifelong passion for working with cows and horses, as well as the beloved cats and dogs. She decided to be a vet at the age of 6 after getting involved with cattle on her family's farm and falling in love with the ability to make a difference. She is a member of the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association, Inland Empire Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Bovine Practitioners.
She has an Australian Kelpie named Dilly who has the prettiest sky-blue eyes and loves to learn new tricks. Dilly is fondly known as the station dog of the Colfax Fire Department. Dr. Young is fluent in Spanish and loves to travel. She volunteered in a vet clinic in Peru during her undergrad, studied abroad in Spain, and has visited 12 different countries. She is currently a volunteer firefighter/EMT for Spokane County Fire District 3. She loves spending time in God's creation. Recently, she is involved with rock climbing, hiking, exploring national parks, snowboarding, mountain biking, running half marathons, and white-water rafting. She also enjoys reading, baking, training her dog, and cleaning.
Jeannette, Practice Manager, has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations, with a minor in Psychology from Washington State University after previously working in the education and graphic design fields. She directs the business side of the practice, guaranteeing the hospital runs smoothly.
Jeannette and her husband, Dave, have six children: Dr. Dutton, Dr. O'Bannan, Elizabeth, Mayden, Nadiri, and Silas. She enjoys being with her family (which includes their Golden Retriever, Border Collie, Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyranese mix, three cats, three horses, one parakeet, and two finches), any activity involving nature, horseback riding, and puttering around the yard.
